(QOS), ha recibido diversas denominaciones, dentro de las cuales se encuentran:
quiste óseo traumático, quiste óseo solitario, cavidad ósea progresiva, cavidad
ósea idiopática, quiste óseo unicameral, quiste de extravasación y quiste óseo
hemorrágico<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: black; font-family: "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;"><span style="color: white;">En 1879, Virchow
publicó el primer informe sobre el quiste óseo simple en el húmero. <sup>1. </sup>En 1929, Lucas y Blum describieron por
primera vez un quiste óseo traumático. Sin embargo, no fue hasta 1946 que se
establecieron los criterios de diagnóstico del quiste; que comprenden una
lesión generalmente única sin recubrimiento epitelial, rodeada por paredes
óseas, con un contenido líquido que en algunas ocasiones puede estar ausente y
sin evidencia de infección.<sup> </sup>La
lesión a menudo se presenta asintomática, sin ninguna expansión ósea. La
localización más frecuente es la zona posterior de la mandibula.<sup> 1, 2.</sup> La OMS (2005) clasifica al quiste óseo
simple en el grupo de las “lesiones óseas no neoplásicas”.<sup>3</sup><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

presenta principalmente en pacientes menores de 30 años de edad con una edad
media aproximada de 20 años. Aunque algunos estudios no han encontrado género
predilección, algunos establecen un predominio masculino. En la mayoría de los
casos el quiste se mantuvo asintomático
y se revela durante la radiografía de rutina examen.<sup>2.</sup><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

QOS, Se presenta como una imagen radiolúcida
unilocular o multilocular bien definida o irregular, de bordes corticalizados
finos, usualmente presenta un aspecto
festoneado a nivel de las raíces dentarias, el 14.83% de los casos puede
presentar borramiento o ausencia de la lámina dura; en zona de molares se
observa por encima del canal mandibular y algunos estudios reportan lesiones
bilaterales o en el cóndilo mandibular.<sup>8.<o:p></o:p></sup></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: black; font-family: "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;"><span style="color: white;">El método
más aceptado para el tratamiento del QOS, es la exploración quirúrgica seguida
de curetaje óseo de las paredes, con el objetivo de estimular la hemorragia
para la formación de coágulos de sangre y que en la mayoría de los casos dará
lugar a una regeneración del tejido óseo. No está indicado realizar tratamiento
endodóntico en los dientes implicados, puesto que la pulpa dentaria se mantiene
vital, incluso tras la intervención quirúrgica.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: black; font-family: "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;"><span style="color: white;">Algunos
autores han señalado que el QOS, puede resolver espontáneamente. Sin embargo,
la imposibilidad de exploración quirúrgica y examen histopatológico, puede dar
lugar a la posibilidad de un error de diagnóstico. Por otra parte, al no
realizarse un tratamiento puede dar lugar a complicaciones adicionales, tales
como fractura mandibular patológica. Otros tratamientos alternativos consisten
en el relleno de la cavidad con hueso liofilizado de la especie bovina o la
introducción de sangre autóloga con el hueso del paciente o de hidroxiapatita. Estos
tratamientos pueden ser de interés en los casos en que falla el tratamiento
convencional<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

radiografía panorámica observamos: </span><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12pt; text-indent: -18pt;">La agenesia de gérmenes dentarios 1.8, 3.8, 3.5, 4.8. </span><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12pt; text-indent: -18pt;">La persistencia de la pieza 7.5, la cual se encuentra por
debajo del plano oclusal funcional, impactada interproximal a piezas 3.6, 3.4.
Así mismo dicha pieza presenta moderada reabsorción radicular externa y discontinuidad de
algunas áreas del espacio periodontal. Signos radiográficos compatibles con

dental es definida como dientes debajo del plano oclusal. En la literatura
encontramos diferentes sinónimos para definir esta condición, tales como: inmersión,
infraoclusión</span><sup><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif";">1</span></sup><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12pt;">,
retención secundaria, anquilosis, erupción detenida, depresión, imputación,
erupción incompleta, intrusión, reimpactación, reinclusión, retención secundaria y diente sumergido</span><sup><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif";">2</span></sup><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12pt;">.
La frecuencia de los dientes anquilosados en los reportes varía entre 1,3% y
38,5%. Los primeros molares mandibulares primarios son los dientes afectados con
mayor frecuencia, seguido por los segundos molares primarios mandibulares y

proceso de infraoclusión es controversial. Sin embargo, recientes estudios histológicos
de la superficie radicular de dientes extraídos con infraoclusión muestran que
la mayoría de estos dientes están anquilosados, consecuentemente, se describe
la anquilosis como el mecanismo etiológico más importante de la infraoclusión.</span><sup><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif";">2 </span></sup><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif; font-size: 12pt;">La
causa exacta es desconocida pero se han propuesto varias teorías, hereditaria,
lesión traumática en vaina radicular epitelial de Hertwig, deficiencia en el
crecimiento óseo, un problema en el metabolismo local, inflamación, infección
localizada, y las irritaciones química o

clínico, el diente sumergido se encuentra inmóvil con su superficie oclusal por
debajo del plano oclusal funcional. La prueba de movilidad puede ser realizada
por la presión directa con los dedos o mediante el uso de un periodontometro (Andersson
et al., 1994). Un diente sano es capaz de moverse en sentido labio-lingual
mientras que uno afectado no puede producir ningún tipo de movimientos. La
Percusión sonar debe registrarse después de golpear levemente en la corona del
diente tanto vertical como horizontalmente con la ayuda de una sonda. Los dientes
anquilosados tienen un fuerte sonido
sólido en la percusión en contraste con el sonido sordo amortiguado de un
diente normal (Vorhies et al., 1952; Albers, 1986). Si el área de anquilosis es
de tamaño suficiente, el examen radiográfico generalmente revela la obliteración
del espacio periodontal, indicativos de fusión entre cemento de la raíz y el

radiografías panorámica y frontal con proyección Towne , observamos, una imagen radiolúcida
multilocular localizada en rama mandibular izquierda, de límites definidos y
bordes de corticales finas y delgadas. La cual se extiende desde raíz distal de
pieza 3.7 hasta proximidades de la escotadura sigmoidea y desde el borde
anterior de la rama mandibular hasta el conducto dentario inferior,
condicionando la leve expansión de tablas oseas y la desviación del CDI. Así
mismo dicha imagen presenta tabiques internos finos y rectos. Signos
radiográficos compatibles con lesión tumoral benigna odontogénica (a descartar tumor
odontogénico queratoquístico infectado).<o:p></o:p></span></div>

odontogénico se utilizó por primera vez por Philipsen en 1956. La Organización
Mundial de la Salud en el 2005 cambia de denominación a esta lesión por Tumor
odontogénico queratoquístico (TOQ). De acuerdo a esta edición, se define al
TOQ, como un tumor benigno intraóseo, uni o multiquístico, de origen
odontogénico, con una cubierta característica de epitelio escamoso estratificado
paraqueratinizado y potencialmente agresivo, de comportamiento infiltrante.

ayuda a distinguir al TOQ. Ellos mencionan que
los TOQs exhiben una propensión a crecer a lo largo del aspecto interno
de los maxilares (crecimiento intramedular), lo que provoca la expansión mínima

la más adecuada modalidad de tratamiento para este tumor. Las estrategias más comunes
incluyen marsupialización y la enucleación, que puede ser combinado con tratamientos
adyuvantes tales como la aplicación de la solución de Carnoy, resección
marginal o resección radical. La tasa de recurrencia del TOQ, es muy alta y varía
de 12% a 58%,</span><sup><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">

la cortical de la pared basal de seno maxilar adyacente, y engrosamiento de la membrana antral de seno
maxilar ipsilateral. Signos radiográficos compatibles con proceso inflamatorio

sinusal es una situación patológica que se caracteriza por la existencia de una
solución de continuidad entre la cavidad oral y el seno maxilar y es causada
por la extracción de premolares y molares, cirugía de implante, enucleación de

que la comunicación buco sinusal se puede cerrar de forma espontánea, sobre
todo cuando el tamaño del defecto es de 1 a 2 mm de diámetro. Numerosas técnicas
quirúrgicas se han descrito para la cierre de fistulas buco sinusales,
incluyendo el uso colgajos de tejido blando autólogo, injertos de hueso
autólogo, alogénico y xenogénicos, materiales sintéticos tales como
hidroxiapatita, y metales. Si el defecto es mayor que 10 mm, el uso de injertos
óseos para el cierre de comunicaciones buco sinusales puede aumentar la tasa de
éxito.</span><sup><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">2</span></sup><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;">
A veces es necesario para eliminar los líquidos acumulados en el seno, usar el

un cuerpo extraño en tejido blando (aguja dental fracturada), después de un
accidente tras la colocación de la anestesia troncular del nervio dentario

radiografías panorámica, telerradiografía lateral, y frontal(posteroanterior),
observamos una imagen radiopaca lineal de densidad metálica (cuerpo extraño) de
aproximadamente 2.5 mm. de longitud, compatible con “fragmento de aguja
dental”. La cual se encuentra proyectada sobre rama ascendente maxilar derecha
entre la escotadura sigmoidea y la espina de Spix, y medial a la rama
ascendente (aproximadamente a 3 mm.). Con orientación oblicua – cefálica.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

dentales durante la colocación de anestesia local, es una complicación poco
frecuente pero significativa, la cual puede tener implicancias médico-legales.</span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";"> <sup>1<o:p></o:p></sup></span></div>

1928, Blum reporto la primera serie de casos, informando de 65 agujas dentales
rotas en un periodo de 10 años</span><span lang="ES" style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;">.</span><sup><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">1</span></sup><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;"> Actualmente las mejoras en la fabricación de
las agujas dentales ha disminuido esta complicación. </span><span lang="ES" style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;">Hoy en día, la rotura de la aguja durante la anestesia
local puede ser atribuida a una aguja defectuosa, una incorrecta técnica de
inyección o un movimiento brusco por parte del paciente en una dirección
opuesta a la aguja. </span><sup><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">1,

<span lang="ES" style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;">Se recomienda utilizar una aguja de 35 mm de calibre 27 para las
inyecciones de bloqueo del nervio dentario inferior. La aguja debe ser cuidadosamente
inspeccionada antes de su uso para buscar defectos o dobleces en el metal, y nunca se debe doblar la aguja antes de su uso como es, por desgracia recomendada
comúnmente. Muchos odontólogos se preocupan por el dolor con el uso de agujas
más grandes, pero ha sido demostrado que no hay diferencia significativa en la

la radiografía panorámica, observamos que dicha pieza presenta ápice abierto, asociado a imagen
radiolúcida periapical de límites definidos compatible con granuloma apical.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

denominada “Dens Evaginatus” fue reportada por primera vez en 1892.</span><sup><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">1</span></sup><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;">
Posteriormente fue bien documentada desde 1925. Es una anomalía poco común, con

frecuente en personas de ascendencia asiática y se presenta como una protrusión
de las superficies oclusales de los dientes posteriores y en las superficies
linguales de los dientes anteriores.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

literatura muestra abundante terminología para esta anomalía. Las más
frecuentes son: odontoma tipo núcleo axial, odontoma evaginado, perla oclusal
del esmalte, tubérculo oclusal, tubérculo anómalo, cúspide accesoria, cúspide
supernumeraria, cúspide intersticial, cúspide tuberculada, premolar tuberculado,
premolar de Leong, y cúspide en garra (específicamente para los dientes
anteriores).</span><sup><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">3,

una capa de esmalte que cubre un núcleo de dentina la cual contiene una extensión
fina de la pulpa. Estas protrusiones son susceptibles a la exposición de la
pulpa por desgaste o fractura a causa de la mal oclusión que pueden llevar a
complicaciones poco después de la
erupción.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
